Our Experience with Jits Magazine: The Journey of Featuring Fight Patron

When I first came up with the idea of Fight Patron, I knew it had the potential to make a difference for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, but I never imagined it would catch the attention of a renowned publication like Jits Magazine so soon. It's been an incredible journey, and I want to share the behind-the-scenes story of how this feature came to life.

Reaching out

One day, while brainstorming ways to spread the word about Fight Patron, I decided to reach out to Jits Magazine on Instagram. They're a respected voice in the Jiu-Jitsu community, so I figured, why not see if they'd be interested? I sent them a message introducing the platform and explaining how it helps practitioners connect with fans and fund their Jiu-Jitsu journeys.

To my surprise, they responded quickly and enthusiastically. They loved the concept and said it could definitely help a lot of practitioners. That moment of validation was huge for me. It was clear that Fight Patron resonated with people in the community.

The interview

We set up a Zoom interview to dive deeper into the story behind Fight Patron. Sitting down with the Jits Magazine team felt surreal, but their genuine interest made the conversation flow effortlessly.

They asked thoughtful questions about how Fight Patron started, what inspired me, and how the platform works. I shared stories about my own Jiu-Jitsu journey, from my early days training under the Pedro Sauer affiliation to the moment the idea for Fight Patron clicked during a class discussion about funding a student's competition fees.

We also explored my goals for the platform and what's next: features like helping practitioners host seminars, provide one-on-one coaching, and even offer corporate self-defense training.

The takeaway

Reflecting on the interview, I realized how much this opportunity means, not just for Fight Patron, but for every practitioner who stands to benefit from the platform. Jits Magazine's support validates the hard work and passion poured into this project, and it's exciting to see the concept gaining traction.

Moving forward

The feature in Jits Magazine is just the beginning. I'm grateful for the chance to share Fight Patron with a wider audience and inspired to keep building tools that empower Jiu-Jitsu practitioners.

Thank you to the team at Jits Magazine for believing in our mission and giving us a platform to share it. Here's to helping Jiu-Jitsu practitioners achieve their dreams, one supporter at a time.
